Mission/History

Education Plus, Inc., d/b/a Education Plus Health, is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization formed in Idaho in 1982 to operate supplemental testing services for
students to determine educational needs related to learning differences and capabilities, with the goal of improving and developing competencies and outcomes through tutoring and other special programming.

In 2009, Education Plus Health expanded its reach to Pennsylvania to scale evidence informed high impact health and education models. Our focus grew out of the collective realization that education and health outcomes are interrelated, with the vision of improved access to high quality health and educational resources and outcomes for marginalized communities.

Since 2010, Education Plus Health has grown to operate more than 15 school based health centers, in partnership with National Nursing-Led Care Consortium, and continues to expand high school academic supports, and post-secondary college sites, in partnership with Harcum College and I-LEAD.

Education Plus Health serves as the fiduciary agent for the Social Innovations Journal, Institute, and Lab. The journal, lab, and institute believe that the potential for good ideas to inspire more good ideas cannot be underestimated.
