JOB TITLE: Executive Director
Reports to: Board President and Board of Directors Program Committee
Classification: Exempt Status: Full-Time

General Description:
The Executive Director leads the organizational Access and Equity Health and Social Determinants of Health Access Business that includes, but is not limited to, leading and managing all finances, personnel, and services. Directly or through oversight of the Fiscal Director, the Executive Director ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, non-profit compliance requirements and best practices, and financial management and well-being. The Executive Director is responsible to ensure that all program services and new innovations are pursued and delivered with integrity to staff and clients alike, driving the organization toward the achievement of its mission while ensuring the sustainability of its operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Services and Social Impact
- Develop and actualize the strategic vision related to school-based health care and related Social Determinants of Health.
- Develop and actualize the strategic vision related to community and home-based health care and related Social Determinants of Health.
- Develop and actualize the strategic vision related to post-secondary attainment for underserved communities.
- Responsible for organizational adherence to all applicable regulation’s applicable professional standards, facility and program licensure as required, laws, rules and regulations.
- Responsible to nurture, pursue and grow all collaborations for quality and service expansion, and growth of program impact.
- Responsible for the ongoing evaluation of all programs for effectiveness in meeting stated goals and financial sustainability.
- Ensure that all clinical and program standards, program objectives and deliverables, and growth goals are met.
Financial and Information Management Systems
- Develop the Access and Equity Health and Social Determinants of Health Access Business annual budget for approval by finance department and board program committee.
- Negotiate government and school contracts and reimbursement rates with Health Insurers.
- Manage the annual budget by meeting or exceeding budget projections.
- Ensure adherence to all non-profit financial management laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Ensure data security and integrity of organizational, staff, and client data.
Fundraising and Communication
- Create, maintain and implement a development plan to identify funding sources, diversify funding streams, and achieve strategic and financial goals.
- Oversee the production of all print and digital materials describing the Access and Equity Health and Social Determinants of Health Access Business.
Staff Development and Personnel Management
- Recruit/Hire/Manage all staff and volunteers for the Access and Equity Health and Social Determinants of Health Access Business.
- Ensure orientation of staff and volunteers to policies and organizational mission, philosophy, and governing regulations.
- Develop and mentor staff to achieve program and organizational goals while enabling professional and personal growth that fosters job satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance and responsiveness to all areas of employment law for organizational risk management, and the maintenance of a healthy staff culture and committed workforce.
Leadership and Advocacy
- Provide advocacy and professional representation of the work on a local and national level to further the organization’s goals, mission, and sustainability.
- Serve as chief spokesperson for the organization, responsible for representing and articulating the mission and vision of the organization and its health and education priorities.
Operations
- Manage the facilities related to Access and Equity Health and Social Determinants of Health Access Business.
- Manage the ordering and distribution of supplies for Access and Equity Health and Social Determinants of Health Access Business.
Board Development
- In partnership with relevant parties, develop agendas and supporting materials for board program meetings for Access and Equity Health and Social Determinants of Health Access Business.
- Support the Board in executing its governance responsibilities by keeping board members fully informed and advised of relevant issues regarding Access and Equity Health and Social Determinants of Health Access Business.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Demonstrate experience in nonprofit management and organizational leadership with ability to influence and drive organizational evolution in keeping with mission, strategic goals, and capacity.
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Health, Administration, or a related field of study. Preference for candidates with a Master’s in Public Health (MPH).
- Proven excellence in building, managing and developing high performing teams.
- Familiarity with nonprofit governance and ability to work well with a board of directors.
- Experience developing and implementing a fundraising strategy or plan.
- Extensive experience in personnel management.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Strong experience and expertise in the fields of health, youth development, and program evaluation.
